Supreme Governor to visit

Earnest W. "Bill" Meyers, Supreme Governor of the Loyal Order of Moose, will speak in Moose Lodge No. 1942, in Kenai, at 8 p.m. Sunday.

The Moose organization, headquartered at Mooseheart, Ill., consists of more than 1.5 million men and women in more than 2,000 lodges and 1,800 chapters throughout the United States, Canada, Great Britain and Bermuda.

Kenai Community Library's July events

The wrap-up party for the summer reading program will be held at the park next to the softball fields on today at 1 p.m. All book-a-neers who returned their records on time will receive a reading certificate and a chance to win great prizes at the party.

The directory of state and federal offices is now available online at the state's Internet site: The directory includes Alaska's federal delegation offices in Washington, D.C., as well as local. It also lists state legislative offices, both local and Juneau, all state departments and divisions, with selected lists of staff and phone numbers.

The Library has ordered two copies of the new "Harry Potter" book. You may call or come in to be put on the check-out list.

New magazine subscriptions include Yoga Journal, Parabola and Budget Travel. Back issues of magazines can be checked out for one week.

The Totem Tracers regular monthly meeting will be July 27 at 6:30 at the Library.

The Writer's Group meets at the Library the first and third Thursdays of the month. Next meeting is July 20 at 6:30 p.m.

The Book Club meets at Veronica's on July 25 at 7 p.m. This month's selection is "Tuesdays with Morrie."
