An Anchorage man was pronounced dead near the side of the Sterling Highway in Cooper Landing on Monday.
Alaska State Troopers and Cooper Landing medics were called to Mile 46 Sterling Highway near Quartz Creek at 10:32 a.m. Monday and performed CPR on an adult male, identified as Robert Ingersoll, 51, of Anchorage. He was pronounced dead at the scene, according to a trooper report.
Ingersoll's next of kin was notified and his body was taken to the state medical examiner's office.
Investigation is continuing.
