KODIAK (AP) -- A fisherman stranded in northwestern Bristol Bay after his skiff overturned was picked up late Sunday by the Coast Guard, the agency said Monday.

Louie Dyasuk, 48, of Togiak was picked up from the beach by a Coast Guard HH-60 helicopter.

Coast Guard officials said Dyasuk's 18-foot aluminum skiff flipped about seven miles south of Togiak. They said the man was alone and that he swam to shore after the boat overturned.

A private aircraft spotted him on the beach at Anchor Point and alerted the Coast Guard.

Dyasuk was returned to Togiak just after midnight Monday. He was reported in good condition.
