DEC warns of PSP danger in crabs

The Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation has issued a warning against eating the innards of crabs harvested around Kodiak Island, the Alaska Peninsula south of Cape Kumlik and Bairdi Tanner crabs from the Bering Sea. Consuming guts can lead to paralytic shell fish poisoning. Senior center garage sale begins today

The Nikiski Senior Citizens Center will hold a garage sale on Island Lake Road today and Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Chamber luncheon slated for today

The North Peninsula Chamber of Commerce will meet today at the North Kenai Baptist Church at noon. Today's speaker is Rep. Mike Chenault, R-Nikiski. The public is welcome to attend the luncheon.

Boot camps to be offered
