Kenai chamber members give warm welcome to Home Depot

The Kenai Chamber of Commerce has the best members! Recently the city of Kenai and the Kenai Chamber of Commerce had the opportunity to welcome Home Depot to Kenai.

The morning of the groundbreaking ceremony, we woke to rain and some miserable weather. With one phone call, chamber member United Rentals had a tent and technician on the way to the rescue! Thank you, Jeff Epperheimer and United Rentals, for helping make the Home Depot ceremony pleasant and dry!

Others I want to take time to thank are chamber members R&K Industrial, who had a crew at the ground-breaking site to help set up the tent, clean up broken glass, trash and sweep the parking lot. Thank you, Cherie Brewer, Steve Holloway and KSRM for providing the quality sound system. Thank you, Bob Favretto, who opened Kenai Chrysler's doors, had the carpet cleaned and moved cars to make room for all the guests who attended the Home Depot reception. Thank you, Dave Schilling, The Back Door Lounge and the Uptown Motel, who sponsored the food and beverage for the reception.

Thank you, Doug Jung and Safeway, who provided the "Welcome to Kenai, Home Depot" cake for the reception. Thank you, Robert Peterkin, who found the United Rentals tent after a blustery night of Alaska wind blew it away! And finally, thank you to all of the chamber members who showed up to welcome Home Depot to Kenai. What a great way to say "This community wants you!"
