The Soldotna Senior Center's summer bazaar, quilt show, and bake sale will be held July 23 and 24 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. There will be a variety of crafts, baked good, a food menu, and quilts. For more information, call 262-2322.

Kenai Central High School will hold a cheer camp from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. July 21-23 in the school commons. Physicals will follow on July 24 at 10 a.m. Attendees are asked to bring tennis shoes and wear comfortable clothing.

The 23rd annual Kenai Peninsula Run for Women event organizers are looking for volunteers to staff water tables, serve lunch and to staff safety positions along the race route.
Safety volunteers will need to take a short safety course at the Kenai Police Department a few days before the run.

Watch the salmon jump the falls as you visit the remote field camp of Russian River. Patti Berkhahn, a Fishery Biologist and project leader for ADF&G, will lead the hike describing the complex salmon runs in the Russian River drainage. Meet at the upper trailhead parking lot at 9:00 AM. Wear sturdy shoes, bring a sack lunch/snack, and don't forget your rain gear.
