KODIAK (AP) -- The skipper of a driftnet boat died Monday after an apparent heart attack aboard his fishing boat in Cook Inlet, according to the Coast Guard.

Ronnie Lewis, 59, of Kasilof was picked up by a Coast Guard helicopter from the Sea Mist shortly after his lone crewman called about 12:30 p.m. and reported Lewis was suffering from symptoms of a heart attack.

The Sea Mist was fishing in the inlet near Kalgin Island, west of Kenai.
