KODIAK (AP) -- The skipper of a driftnet boat died Monday after an apparent heart attack aboard his fishing boat in Cook Inlet, according to the Coast Guard.
Ronnie Lewis, 59, of Kasilof was picked up by a Coast Guard helicopter from the Sea Mist shortly after his lone crewman called about 12:30 p.m. and reported Lewis was suffering from symptoms of a heart attack.
The Sea Mist was fishing in the inlet near Kalgin Island, west of Kenai.
Lewis arrived at Central Peninsula Hospital about 2:10 p.m. He was pronounced dead at the hospital.
