Child birth classes available
Central Peninsula General Hospital will hold the following childbirth classes:
A six-week session will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesdays starting today through Aug. 23. The cost is $75 and participants must preregistered. For more information or to register, call 714-4788.
A two-day refresher prepared childbirth course will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Aug. 9 and 16. The cost is $20 and participants must preregistered. Books are available for an additional $25. This class is not available to first-time moms. For more information or to register, call 714-4788.
Peace, justice meeting slated

Community run set to go

Gospel concert slated
Soldotna Church of God on the corner of Binkley Street and Redoubt Avenue will host a gospel concert at 7 p.m. Friday with Sherman Andrus, Grammy award-winning vocalist and Gospel Hall of Fame member, and area recording artist Miriam Humphries. Class of 1985 reunion planned
Soldotna High School class of 1985 will hold its 20th class reunion at 7 p.m. Friday at Sockeye's at Kenai Landing on Cannery Road. It will host a picnic at 1 p.m. Sunday at the softball fields at the Green Strip Park in Kenai. Participants at asked to bring side dishes and drinks. Hamburgers, hot dogs will be provided. Used books sale set
The Soldotna Public Library will host a used book sale from 1:30 to 5:30 p.m. Saturday at the library.
Ham radio club to meet Saturday
The Moosehorn Amateur Radio Club will meet from noon to 5 p.m. Saturday at Cook Inlet Academy, 45872 Kalifornsky Beach Road. Admission is $3 and there will be door prizes. Activities include a "hamfest swap meet" and various workshops, including "Hamming it up in the wilderness" and "Everything you need to know about the LEO satellites."
