Rea, Shinn announce nuptials

Katie Jean Rea of Soldotna and Adam Shinn of Saint Helens, Ore., plan to marry Saturday, Oct. 3, 2009, in Forest Grove, Ore.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Lyle and Theresa Winter and Jeff and Barb Rea, all of Alaska. Katie is a student at Western Oregon University, studying biology and pre-med.
The future groom is the son of Cari Dawson and Charles Shinn, both of Saint Helens. Adam is a enlisted with the United States Air Force and attended Western Oregon University.
The couple met in Mammoth, Ore.
