Wilderness survival class planned

Ed French, an emergency medical technician in Soldotna, will share his knowledge of wilderness survival Saturday from 7 to 8 p.m. The presentation is at Captain Cook State Recreation Area near Discovery Campground site No. 15.

Muzzle-loader class offered

The Alaska Department of Fish and Game will hold a two-day muzzle-loader certification class Aug. 3 from 6 to 10 p.m. and Aug. 4 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Cook Inlet Aquaculture Building and Snowshoe Gun Club. The cost is $20 and is limited to 20 participants. To register, call 262-9368.
