Addictions group meets

Reformers Unanimous, a Christ-centered addictions program, meets at 7 p.m. Fridays at Immanuel Baptist Church. For more information, call 283-9361.

Clothes closet opens

The First Baptist Church in Soldotna will offer free clothing from 9:30 a.m. to noon Saturdays in the garage at 119 Little St., off of Binkley.

Destiny conference continues

Soldotna Church of God’s annual Destiny Conference continues through Sunday at the church at the corner of Binkley Street and Redoubt Avenue. Morning services will begin at 10:30 a.m. with a Bible study led by David Bishop and the Destiny Kids Conference, a form of vacation bible school, for children ages 4-12. Evening services begin at 7 p.m. today and at 6 p.m. Sunday and will include the second half of the Destiny Kids lesson.

The theme will be “With God Nothing Is Impossible — Don’t Put God In A Box.” David Bishop, Sherman Andrus (Grammy Award-winning gospel artist) and international speaker Henry Penix are some of the planned speakers. There is no fee. It is open to the public. Child care is available for each service. For more information, call 262-4729.

Clothes available for community

Clothes Quarters is open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesdays. It is in the back of the parking lot of Our Lady of the Angels Church, 225 S. Spruce St. in Kenai.

PCC celebrates its 30th anniversary

The Peninsula Christian Center will celebrate its 30th anniversary of service to the community at 10:30 a.m. Sunday at the church behind The Salvation Army Store in Soldotna. Special guests will be Rev. Lawrence Craft, the church’s first pastor, and his wife, Vera.

A potluck and fish fry are scheduled for after the service, followed by a pie auction for an upcoming youth missions trip to Peru. For more information, call 262-7416 or e-mail pencc@alaska.net.

Summer Bible school sets sail

Grace Lutheran Church School will host its vacation Bible school from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday through July 28, one block off Kalifornsky Beach Road on Ciechanski Road. Children from preschool through eighth grade are welcome to “Set Sail with the Son. Join the Crew.”

VBS set for Sterling

The Sterling Lutheran Church will hold vacation Bible school from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Aug. 7-11 at the church across the street from the Sterling Elementary School playground. Children age 4 through grade six may attend. Assistants also are needed.
