ANCHORAGE (AP) -- A man from the village of Lower Kalskag in southwest Alaska died in a fatal boating accident on the Kuskokwim River.

Alaska State Troopers said Sinka Williams, 68, had apparently been trying to untangle a line that had wrapped around the propeller of his boat engine when he fell overboard into the river Saturday.

Williams was the only person aboard the boat at the time of the accident, troopers said.
