Nellie J. Fisher died Friday, July 19, 2002, at San Juan Regional Medical Center in Farmington, N.M., after an extended battle with pulmonary fibrosis. She was 63.

Services will be held at the United Church of Farmington at 10 a.m. Wednesday. Brad Perry will officiate. Burial will be held at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Farmington.

Mrs. Fisher was born July 27, 1938, in Scottsville, Ky., to Tracy and Ella Douglas. She was raised in Bowling Green, Ky., and moved to Farmington in 1957.

She met Jerry Fisher in 1957, and they were wed June 18, 1958.

Mrs. Fisher was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Fisher and mother, Ella E. Smith.

She is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Rodney and Delores Fisher of Aztec, N.M. and Curtis and Toni Fisher of Sterling; daughter, Tracy Fisher of Aztec; grandchildren, Alicia, Jerrod, Cameron, Branden and Kaylee Fisher; sisters, Traci Duran of Cortez, Colo., Jerril Dean Oliver of Palestine, Texas, Edna Booth of Lovington, N.M., and Jo Ann Lawler of Fairfield, Texas; and brother, Billy Smith of Palestine.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Northwest New Mexico Hospice, 601 N. Riley, Farmington, NM 87401.

Arrangements were made by the Alternative Society in Farmington.
