ANCHORAGE (AP) Two Alaskans were killed Monday in a three-vehicle accident on the Sterling Highway, the Homer Police Department said.
The accident occurred at about 3 p.m. at Mile 168.4.
Police said their initial investigation showed that Sherry Hagen, 45, of Homer was driving a 1992 Dodge sedan north on the Sterling Highway when her vehicle crossed into the oncoming lane and struck a 1979 Chevrolet station wagon driven by Joseph Radeck, 69, of Anchor Point.
A third vehicle, traveling behind the Chevrolet, hit the Chevrolet before coming to a stop, police said. There were three people from Michigan in the third vehicle but none were injured, police said.
Hagen and Radeck died at the scene, police said.
