The Soldotna Little League 9- and 10-year-old All Star Team is shown above with its award for placing first in at the district 1 and state tournament in Anchorage. Shown above are Ila Cobb, Mylon Weems, Logan Paul, Dallas Cook, Noah Fowler, Colton Young, Zane Miller, Mitchel Daugherty, Max Couradi, Marshall Vest and Jakob Kooly. The team’s coaches were Brian Miller and Mark Fowler.

Ralston, Vroman join the Air Force

 

Ralston

Former Sterling residents Air Force Airman Miranda C. Ralston and Air Force Airman Loren E. Vroman graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas.

 

Vroman

During the six weeks of training, they studied the Air Force mission, organization, and military customs and courtesies; performed drill and ceremony marches, and received physical training, rifle marksmanship, field training exercises, and special training in human relations.

In addition, they earned credits toward an associate’s degree through the Community College of the Air Force.

· Ralston is the daughter of Gerald and Lori Ralston and a 2005 graduate of Soldotna High School.

· Vroman is the son of Steven Vroman and a 2003 graduate of Skyview High School in Soldotna.
