ANCHORAGE (AP) -- Gov. Tony Knowles named a University of Alaska Fairbanks student Tuesday to the Alaska Postsecondary Education Commission.
Lisa Villano was named to the student position on the commission for a two-year term. She succeeds UA Anchorage student Skye Rubadeau.
Villano is a senior majoring in elementary education. She is also the coordinator for the U-A Coalition of Student Leaders.
The Postsecondary Education Commission provides planning for postsecondary education in Alaska.
