ANCHORAGE (AP) A Homer man was critically injured Thursday after his pickup truck left the Seward Highway and rolled.

Kib Rogers, 24, was flown to Providence Alaska Medical Center after the accident at Mile 57.

Alaska State Troopers at Girdwood said Rogers was driving south when he apparently fell asleep. He crossed the northbound lane and continued through grass 260 feet until the truck fell into a six-foot creek bed and hit the opposite bank.

The truck went up onto its front, flipped and came to rest on the hood and the passenger side.

Rogers suffered a head injury and lost consciousness.
