Anchor Point resident Billy Ellis, formerly of Orlando, Fla., died Monday, July 16, 2007, on his way to go clam digging. He was 70.
No services are planned at this time.
Mr. Ellis was born in 1937 in Alabama. He worked for BellSouth Telephone Company in Orlando, Fla. He retired in 1987 and moved to Alaska in 2004. He was a protestant.
Mr. Ellis was preceded in death by his parents, William Alfred and Vesta Ellis.
He is survived by his wife, Wilma "Willie" Ellis of Anchor Point; sons and daughters-in-law, Dr. Timothy Ellis and his wife, Lori, of Lakeland, Fla. and Gary Ellis and his wife, Laura, of Orlando, Fla.; daughters, Renee Bronson and her husband, Darrell, and Tanya Busby, and her husband, Wayne Ayers, of Kissimmee, Fla.; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Arrangements were made by Peninsula Memorial Chapel in Kenai.
