Health Day slated

The MediCenter is starting a Preventative Health Program by offering a Preventative Health Day today at the Nikiski MediCenter at 43783 of the Kenai Spur Highway.

Free information and services includes bone density scan, blood pressure test, blood sugar test, body mass index, sleep study information and nutrition information.

Wellness panel lab work discount also will be offered. For more information, call 283-9118.

Nutrition class serves up information

The Kenai Peninsula Food Bank will offer free nutrition classes "Putting Local Food Resources to Work" from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Wednesdays at the food bank at 33955 Community College Drive in Soldotna.

The classes will be taught by Colleen Sonnevil of the Cooperative Extension. For more information, call 262-3111.

Community fun run Friday

Registration for the sixth annual Everything But the Red Run will be held at the Tsalteshi Trail system behind Skyview High School at 5:30 p.m. Friday.

This 5-kilometer race is for runners or walkers. Dogs on a leash are welcome!

Classes set to reunite

· Skyview High School class of 1997 will hold its 10-year reunion July Friday through Sunday. Events scheduled are: happy hour at Hooligans Friday at 7 p.m.; dinner at Paradisos Saturday at 6 p.m.; and a family picnic at Soldotna Creek Park Sunday at noon. Everyone is invited to the picnic who attended Skyview, even if they did not graduate with the class. R.S.V.P. is required for the dinner and picnic.

· Soldotna High School class of 1997 is planning a class reunion for Friday through Sunday at Kenai Landing. Class members are sought for updates.Anyone who attended SoHi with the class is invited to the reunion, whether they graduated with the class or not.

Fair plans work day

The Kenai Peninsula State Fair in Ninilchik will hold a work day from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.

Volunteers will help with everything from planting flower beds to raising walls on the new restroom facility.
