The House OK'd the TransCanada license, and it looks like our Legislature, in its infinite wisdom, is about to hand TransCanada $500 million.
All TransCanada had to do to get the money was bid on an open-ended contract.
There is nothing in AGIA to prevent TransCanada from selling its license to the Big Three and walk away with a smile on their face. Or they may trade the license for a percentage of the gas line. Or the Big Three wait till TransCanada fails to live.
Either way, the residents of Alaska will foot the bill and the Legislature will pass the responsibility off on the Big Three. And the Legislature will look like it's still full of corrupt and incompetent boobs.
