Sponsors make a big difference for food bank

Posted: Friday, July 25, 2008

The Kenai Peninsula Food Bank wishes to thank Stanley Ford for its generosity and dedication to our organization. The dealership presented $100 for each vehicle sold during the weekend of June 27-29 to the food bank as a donation.

On July 13, Stanley Ford provided the major sponsorship of the second annual golf tournament at the Bird Homestead Golf Course. The Kenai Peninsula Food Bank appreciates the support of Stanley Ford, as we provide food products to residents of the entire Kenai Peninsula, including Tyonek.

The food bank wishes to thank hole sponsors: Waddell & Reed, Brown Insurance Agency and Arby's for their support. Other supporters include Alaska's Best Water, Alaska Rivers Co., Bird Homestead Golf Course, ConocoPhillips, KDLL, KSRM, Kaladi Brothers, Odom Corp., Peninsula Clarion, TerryLynn Hansen and Uncle Lloyds.

Congratulations to the first-place team sponsored by Edward Jones-Ryan Kapp, comprised of members Aaron Andrus, Joe Deveaux, Ryan Kapp and Spencer Tachick. The second-place team, sponsored by ConocoPhillips, consisted of Greg Beiser, Ryan Davis, Bernie Kibling and Jesse Vinson.
