James M. 'Mick' Eatherly

Longtime Alaskan and Soldotna resident James M. "Mick" Eatherly died Sunday, July 11, 2010 at Sunrise Mountain Assisted Living in Sterling. He was 65.

A celebration of his life will be 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 28, at the Eagles Aerie No. 3525 in Kenai.

Mr. Eatherly was born Nov. 20, 1944 in Michigan. He moved to Alaska on Dec. 1, 1969 and resided in Soldotna. He was an ironworker and surveyor.

He was a proud member of the Eagles Aerie No. 3525. He enjoyed all sports, especially high school sports.

Mr. Eatherly was preceded in death by his parents, "Doc" and Gwendolyn Eatherly and a brother, Dennis.

He is survived by friends in the Kenai and Soldotna area.

Arrangements were made by Peninsula Memorial Chapel.
