Native fellowship to meet today

The North Wind Native Fellowship, a nondenominational Native outreach, will meet at 6:30 p.m. today at Peninsula Grace Brethren Church in Kenai. The group meets every other Friday and host a potluck every fourth gathering. For more information, call Van or Vide Van Velzor at 260-3293.

AAJC flea market planned

The Apostolic Assembly of Jesus Christ Church will hold a flea market Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the former C and R auto lot in Soldotna, across from Sal's Diner. Churches plan Nikiski Community Day

The Church of Nikiski will sponsor a a community day Saturday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Nikiski Pool recreation fields. The event will include live music, free food, family activities, crafts and children's games. For more information, call 252-6058.

Church activities coincide with Progress Days

Peninsula Christian Center will celebrate Progress Days with a fish fry and potluck beginning right after the 10:30 a.m. service Sunday. In addition, Steve Shoop, missionary to Panama, will speak in the 8:30 and 10:30 a.m. services. Special music will be provided by Anchorage musicians Mary Calisti and Kit Rithers on the harp and flute. PenCC is one block off of the Kenai Spur Highway, two blocks from the Soldotna "Y."

Soldotna Nazarene to host vacation bible camp

The Soldotna Nazarene Church about Farnsworth Park will host a vacation bible school day camp Monday through Friday from 9:30 a.m. to noon. All youth grades kindergarten through six are welcome. For more information, call the church at 262-4660.

Church to offer space camp

Vacation Bible school at Sterling Baptist Church will hold Space Station 2002 Aug. 5-9 from 9 a.m. to noon. Children ages 4 to 12 are invited to attend. For more information, call the church at 262-4711.

Prayer ministry offers 'Direct Line 2 God'

The New 2 U clothing ministry meets the first and third Saturday of every month. Part of the ministry includes a 12-hour a day, every day prayer ministry, "Direct Line 2 God." To participate in the ministry, call Joy at 262-0641.
