Flea market planned

The Apostolic Assembly of Jesus Christ Church will sponsor a flea market Saturday. It will be in the lot across from Sourdough Sal's in Soldotna. Spaces are available for rent. For more information, call Nancy Bergevin at 262-9693.

SolFirst to present 'Jabez' drama

Soldotna First Assembly Church will present a special dramatization, "The Prayer of Jabez," at 10:30 a.m. Sunday. The drama is adapted from

Bruce Wilkinson's New York Times bestselling book of the same name.

The drama will feature members of the pastoral staff in three stages of

Jabez's life. Special music also will be featured in the drama.

After the service, the annual SolFirst Progress Days fish fry and potluck will be served. SolFirst is two blocks from the "Y" behind The

Special guest featured

The "Heart of Worship Encounter" will be held Sunday and Monday at the Kenai New Life Assembly of God Church. Dr. LaMar Boschman will be the special musical guest and worship leader. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. Sunday and 7 p.m. Monday. For more information, call 283-7752.

Church of God plans revival

The Kenai Church of God will hold a revival Sunday through Wednesday. Bishop J.L. Sanders of Lighthouse Temple in West Helena, Ark., will speak. Services will be at 7 p.m. each night. For more information, call 283-4009.

Annual fellowship meeting slated


Bob Jones

Dr. Bob Jones III will be the keynote speaker at the 10th annual Alaska Fundamental Baptist Fellowship meeting. Other speakers will be Dr. Rod Bell and Dr. Arno Weniger. The meeting will be held at the Soldotna Baptist Church Monday through Wednesday.

Vacation Bible school scheduled

Grace Lutheran Church will offer a vacation Bible school Monday through Aug. 3 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Each child is asked to bring a picnic lunch. The church is on Ciechanski Road, one block off Kalifornsky Beach Road. For more information, call Pastor Tom Schmidt at 283-6297.

Bible school planned

St. Francis By the Sea Episcopal Church will hold a vacation Bible school Tuesday through Aug. 4 from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Registration will be held Monday from noon to 3 p.m. at the church at 110 S. Spruce St. in Kenai. All children between kindergarten through seventh grade may attend.
