DILLINGHAM (AP) -- The state Board of Fisheries has cut back its schedule of winter meetings to meet sharp budget cuts.
The panel adopted a condensed winter schedule Wednesday that cuts Dillingham and Bethel from its upcoming cycle of regulatory meetings and instead creates a marathon meeting incorporating the Yukon-Kuskowkim Delta, Bristol Bay and Area M issues.
A number of fishermen from the region said they weren't happy with the decision.
