Kathleen Hayes of Houston and Sonny Jackson of Anchorage were married Friday, June 28, 2002, at the Houston Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Temple.
The bride is the daughter of Jim and Anita Hayes of Kingwood, Texas.
The bridesmaids were Sari Miettinen and Rebecca Morgan, both of Houston.
The groom is the son of Harold and Bobbie Jackson of Soldotna.
Martin Jackson, brother of the groom, was the best man.
Marlene Meyer and Trina Jackson, sisters of the groom, performed a song during the ceremony.
The bride is a seventh-grade math teacher at Eagle Crest Academy. She received a degree in exercise science and education.
The groom is a 1992 graduate of Skyview High School and 1997 graduate of Ricks College. He is employed as a financial adviser at Primeria Financial Services.
The couple honeymooned on a cruise in the Caribbean. They plan to make their home in Anchorage.
A reception was held Saturday, July 27, in Soldotna.
