FAIRBANKS (AP) -- A Fairbanks man has been charged with attempted murder and several other felonies after he allegedly went on a drive-by shooting spree and led police on a high-speed chase.
Leonard ''Danny'' Roach Jr., 22, was charged with two counts of attempted murder for allegedly firing randomly at occupants of a car and third-degree assault for allegedly trying to run down an Alaska State Trooper.
Roach was also charged with two counts of misconduct involving weapons, failure to stop at the direction of a peace officer, drunken-driving and for not appearing for sentencing Monday for previous felony convictions.
Roach is accused of firing into at least two occupied cars early Friday before leading police on a chase for several miles.
During the chase, Roach allegedly swerved toward a state trooper laying out a tire-deflation strip to slow the speeding car.
