Women's issues to be discussed at chamber

Heather Arnette, executive director of the Women's Resource and Crisis Center will speak at the Soldotna Chamber of Commerce today at noon at the Riverside House. For more information, call the chamber at 262-9814.

Clothes closet open today

The Women's Resource and Crisis Center has free clothing for infants, children, women and men available at the Clothes Closet today and Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. For more information, call Barbara at 283-9749.

Blood bank to hold birthday drive

Today is the 40th birthday of the Blood Bank of Alaska. There will be a special blood drive from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Indian Valley Meats also will provide protein packs of salmon and meat jerky or sticks to anyone who donates blood. For more information, call 262-5672.

Picnic for KPBA members

The Kenai Peninsula Builders Association will hold a member appreciation picnic Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Soldotna Creek Park. For more information, call 283-8071.

Tour of historic cabin offered
