ANCHORAGE (AP) The weapon used in the fatal stabbing of an Angoon man Saturday was a kitchen knife with a 9-inch blade, according to Alaska State Troopers.

An autopsy indicated that Richard ''Buddy'' George Jr., 27, died from a single stab wound in the back.

Troopers have recovered the knife, said trooper spokesman Greg Wilkinson.

Two trooper investigators remain in the Admiralty Island community 55 miles southwest of Juneau conducting interviews and investigating the incident.

No one has been charged in the killing.

Wilkinson said Angoon authorities took someone into custody before troopers began their investigation. The suspect, whom Wilkinson said he could not identify, was released at the request of the district attorney's office.
