Bauder, Elder marry in Idaho
Shamra Bauder and Adam Elder
Shamra Bauder and Adam Elder were married Sunday, May 7, 2006, in Moscow, Idaho.
The bride is the daughter of Marsha and Mike Gustkey of Kenai and Pam and Neal Bauder of Wasilla. She graduated from Kenai Central High School in 2002 and Washington State University in 2006 with a bachelor’s degree in psychology. She works at WSU in Pullman, Wash.
The groom is the son of Shelley and Dana Elder of Garfield, Wash. He graduated from the University of Idaho in 2005 with a bachelor’s degree in philosophy. He is employed by Schweitzer Engineering Labs in Pullman.
The couple honeymooned in Victoria, B.C., and live in Pullman.
Holland, Baxter wed overlooking river

Desiree M. Holland and Keith D. Baxter, both formerly of Sterling, were married on Friday, June 23, 2006. The ceremony took place on a bluff overlooking the Kenai River and mountain range and included close family and friends.
The bride is the daughter of Bryan and Jackie Holland of Sterling. She attended Eastern Michigan University, where she pursued a degree in interior design and competed as a collegiate diver. She has since returned to Alaska to be closer to Keith and her family and now plans to finish her undergraduate work at the University of Alaska Anchorage.
The groom is the son of Doug and Debbie Baxter of Sterling. He is a student at the University of Alaska Anchorage and plans to graduate in December with a bachelor’s degree in journalism and public communications with minors in political science and sociology.
The newlyweds reside in Anchorage, but hope to return to the Kenai Peninsula soon.
Berdahl, Roofe plan Texas wedding

Laura Christine Berdahl and Christopher Gene Roofe of Nikiski plan to be married Sunday, Aug. 6, 2006, in Galveston, Texas.
The bride-to-be is the daughter of Mark and Beverly Berdahl of Nikiski. She is a graduate of Nikiski High School and Western Oregon University, where she earned a bachelor of science degree in business.
The future groom is the son of Gene and Teri Roofe of Nikiski. He is a graduate of Nikiski High School and is a full-time student at Kenai Peninsula College, studying process technology.
McFarlin, Miller marry in Kenai
Amber McFarlin and Christopher Miller
Amber May McFarlin and Christopher Clark Aron Miller of Kenai were married Sunday, July 2, 2006, in an afternoon ceremony at the bride’s parents’ house in Kenai. Dan Eason officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Brenda and Stephan Plagge of Kenai and Paul McFarlin of Anchorage. She got her GED in 2006 from Kenai Peninsula College. She wore a white, beaded dress with a long train and carried yellow roses with red edges. She is a stay-at-home mom.
The groom is the son of Judy Miller of Nikiski. He graduated from Nikiski High School in 1998 and UTI in Arizona. He works at Alyeska Sales and Service.
The matron of honor was the bride’s sister, Anna Eason. She wore a green dress and carried yellow roses with red edging. The bridesmaid was Andrea McFarlin, sister of the bride, who wore a lavender dress and carried purple roses.
The groom’s attendants were Kris Schwalb, the groom’s best friend, and Sam Eason, the groom’s brother-in-law.
The ring bearers were Blake Lackey, the bride’s son, and the bride’s nephew, Judah Eason. The flower girl was the bride’s niece, Miyah Eason.
The special song was “Broken Road” by Rascal Flatts.
The couple honeymooned in Seward and live in Kenai.
Saltzgiver, Paget to marry in temple
Wes Paget and Breeanna Saltzgiver
Breeanna (Breezy) Saltzgiver and Wes Neil Paget of Bountiful, Utah plan to be married Friday, Aug. 18, 2006, in the Bountiful Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Temple.
The bride-to be is the daughter of Pam and Kelly Saltzgiver of Kenai. She is a 2004 graduate of Kenai Central High School and a full-time student attending Nail Tech School.
The groom-to-be is the son of Jamie Paget and Neil and Lisa Paget, all of Bountiful. He is a 2001 graduate of Viewmont High School in Bountiful and employed by Paget Enterprises in West Bountiful.
