Luau makes for sweet fundraiser

Soldotna Senior Center would like to thank all of the fantastic donors and volunteers in support of the center's Hawaiian luau fundraiser. A very special thank you to Kenai Fjords Tours for their donation of the grand door prize. A big thank you to Hawaiian Vacations; Safeway Stores; Poppy Lane Flowers; Odie's Bead-It; Mary Lane; Abel's Restaurant; River City Books; Frames and Things Gallery West; Pearl Burton; D&M Gifts; Billie Gillilan; Jersey Subs; Alaska Hairlines; Hobbies, Crafts and Games; Dody Tachick; Donna's Victorian Gifts; Maureen Bridge; Charlottes' Thompson Log Gifts; and Kaladi Brothers for the outstanding door prizes.

Another big thank you to the Peninsula Clarion, KSRM, KBAY and Paul Fischer for the great media coverage. A huge thank you to Bunny and Al Chong and Na Manu Olu dancers for the fabulous Hawaiian entertainment, and to all of the great volunteers who worked in so many capacities of decorations, ticket sales, cooks, servers and greeters. The Hawaiian luau was a great success and we thank you all.
