JUNEAU (AP) -- A fire in Juneau destroyed the contents of an abandoned building used by the homeless, fire officials said Tuesday.
No one was hurt in the blaze that broke out about 10 p.m. Monday.
Fire Capt. Pete Hettinger said the fire marshal is investigating. He said the cause of the fire has not been determined, adding there is no evidence of arson.
Hettinger said the building was used as a shelter for local homeless people. Firefighters found charred mattresses and debris on the floors.
Hettinger said firefighters knocked down the blaze in 15 minutes.
