Searchers from Alaska Mountain Rescue using dogs failed to find any sign of a Nikiski man in the vicinity of the Resurrection Pass trailhead near Cooper Landing on Thursday.
Alaska State Troopers are seeking information on the whereabouts of David Jon-athan Allen, 36, who was last seen March 27 and noticed to be missing April 14.
Allen, who lives alone, worked at Willow Street Auto in Kenai. He did not show up for work after Easter and was reported missing in April.
At about the same time, a car owned by Willow Street Auto was found near the popular Kenai Peninsula trailhead, but was not linked to Allen's disappearance.
On Thursday, a team of rescuers was flown to the site and searched a one-mile radius area, using trained searched dogs that turned up nothing, according to trooper spokes-man Greg Wilkinson.
A trooper report said Allen requires medication and it was not known if he had any medicine with him at the time of his disappearance.
He is described as 6-foot, 4-inches tall, 280 pounds and has brown hair, brown eyes and wears glasses.
Anyone with more information about Allen's whereabouts is asked to call Trooper Rob Hunter at 262-4453, or contact any law enforcement agency.
