Boys and Girls Club deadline looms

The Soldotna Boys and Girls Club is taking registration for the 2007-08 school year. Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis. Packets are available from 2 to 6 p.m. through Friday at Redoubt Elementary School. For more information, call Kim Lee at 398-9669.

Class of '67 members sought

East Anchorage High School Class of 1967 will hold its 40th class reunion Friday through Sunday. It is seeking classmates that have moved to the Kenai Peninsula. For more information, call Linda (Kupers) Huisingh at 398-7597.

Safe Sitter course offered

Central Peninsula Hospital in Soldotna will hold Safe Sitter courses from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Aug. 9 and 10 at the hospital. Participants must be at least 11 years old at the time of class and must preregister.

Library book sale a real page turner

The Friends of the Kenai Community Library will hold its annual book sale from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Aug. 10 and from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Aug. 11 in the old Kenai courthouse next to the library. A presale will be held for members only from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Aug. 9. The library also is seeking book donations. For more information or to volunteer, call 283-8462.

KCHS class of 1972 reunion set

Caregiver support meetings slated

The National Family Caregiver Support Program will hold the following meetings. For more information, call 262-1280.

Kenai — Caregiver training from 1 to 3 p.m. Aug. 15 at the Kenai Senior Citizens Center. Matt Wiggins, RN, will be the featured speaker. His topics will be body mechanics, skin integrity, Alzheimer's care and COPD.

Soldotna — Peer support meeting from 1 to 3 p.m. Aug. 28 at the Soldotna Senior Citizens Center.
