Seniors kick off classic
Today is the last day to get it on one of the "fishiest" summer fund-raisers on the Kenai Peninsula.

Library awarded grant
Friends and staff of the Kenai library had a good read this month when they received a letter from the Rasmuson Foundation saying the library has been awarded $1.5 million toward its expansion project.

Sportfishing closed to reds
It's time for lower Kenai River bank fisherman to switch from flies to spoons, because as of Friday pink and silver salmon will be allowed, but sportfishing for sockeye salmon will close, potentially for the remainder of the year.

Kenai Golf Report : Dreaming of better days
Hey there, golfers! What's with the liquid sunshine and those pesky salmon -- are they lost? Where have they gone and where are those bright, sunny days that we have had only a handful of? I think they all occurred when I was sitting in my office looking out the window and dreaming of -- golf, of course, on the Kenai Golf Course, one of my very favorite places in the whole world.
