Jenckes, Toomey plan nuptials

Julie Rene Jenckes of Kenai and Andrew Charles Toomey of Pecatonica, Ill., announce their plans to be married Thursday, Aug. 26, 2004, at Minter Garden in Harrison, B.C.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Jim and Joanne Jenckes of Kenai. She graduated from Kenai Central High School in 2000 and from Trinity Western University in 2004 with a bachelor's degree in linguistics and teaching English as a second language. She plans to go to South Korea in October to teach English.

The future groom is the son of Rick and Ginger Toomey of Pecatonica. He graduated from Pecatonica High School in 1999 and from Trinity Western University in 2004 with a bachelor's degree in Biblical studies and a minor in biology. He is a biology research assistant at TWU for the summer and also plans to teach English in South Korea starting in October.
