An Anchorage man died Saturday after his truck crashed and burned in a ditch in Soldotna.
Jeremy McCullough, 31, was driving down Funny River Road near Mile 11 when his black 1995 Ford pickup truck struck the edge of Tachik Avenue and crashed into a ditch. McCullough was ejected from the truck, which landed on the passenger side and caught on fire.
McCullough was found in the roadway next to the truck. Emergency responders attempted to resuscitate him, but he could not be revived and was pronounced dead at the scene.
McCullough was not wearing a seat belt and alcohol is believed to have been a factor in the accident. There were no other passengers inside the truck when the accident occurred.
