CHICAGO Greg Maddux will have to wait for win No. 300.

Maddux came out after six innings with Chicago trailing by a run Sunday, so he wasn't around for a rally that carried Nomar Garciaparra and the Cubs to a 6-3 victory over the Philadelphia Phillies.

The right-hander wound up with a no-decision, and his next attempt to become the 22nd major league pitcher to reach 300 wins probably will come Saturday in San Francisco against Barry Bonds and the Giants. He gave up six hits including first-inning homers to Jimmy Rollins and Bobby Abreu and three runs, two earned, in six innings.

After Maddux left, the Cubs scored four runs in the seventh, capped by an RBI single from Garciaparra Chicago's new star shortstop who was acquired from Boston in a four-team deal just before baseball's trade deadline Saturday.

Braves 6, Mets 5

ATLANTA Andruw Jones homered and drove in four runs off former teammate Tom Glavine, and the Braves completed a three-game sweep.

Astros 7, Reds 5

CINCINNATI Adam Everett's eighth-inning suicide squeeze drove in the go-ahead run, Roy Oswalt (11-8) beat the Cincinnati Reds again.

Morgan Ensberg had three RBIs for the Astros.

Rockies 10, Diamondbacks 2

DENVER Jeromy Burnitz drove in four runs with a pair of homers to back Aaron Cook's second complete game, and Colorado completed a three-game sweep.

Vinny Castilla, Todd Helton and Aaron Miles also homered for the Rockies, who have won seven straight against the Diamondbacks.

Brewers 8, Pirates 7

MILWAUKEE Bill Hall's bases-loaded single in the ninth inning gave Milwaukee the victory.

The Pirates rallied for two runs in the top of the ninth against closer Dan Kolb to tie it at 7. But Geoff Jenkins doubled against Brain Meadows (2-3) leading off the bottom half and went to third on Wes Helms' single.

After an intentional walk to Lyle Overbay, Hall grounded a single through a drawn-in infield.

Dodgers 2, Padres 1, 12 innings

SAN DIEGO Pinch-hitter Robin Ventura homered in the 12th inning, sending Los Angeles to a victory over San Diego.

Expos vs. Marlins ppd.

MIAMI The Montreal Expos led the Marlins 2-0 with one out in the fourth inning Sunday when rain interrupted play.

The game will be made up as part of a doubleheader on Sept. 14 at Miami.

Cardinals 6, Giants 1

SAN FRANCISCO Woody Williams pitched 6 1-3 dominant innings for his fifth straight victory and 100th of his career, and Scott Rolen's first-inning homer stood up in St. Louis' win over San Francisco.
