Local cast triumphs with production of mystery thriller Wait Until Dark.

The Triumvirate Theatre Group will be doing their last run of Wait Until Dark, the popular Broadway show about a blind woman who finds herself in a life and death battle of wits with three ruthless conmen. The local production of this fascinating thriller includes, Ramona Baker as Susy Hendrix, Damon Bowen as her husband, Chris Jenness, Jamie Nelson, and Mike Druce as the conmen, Shaylee Rizzo as Gloria, and Rick Scott as the policeman. “The show is part of the Triumvirate’s summer tradition of bringing theatre to Soldotna,” said Joe Rizzo, president of the organization and director of the show.

Rizzo was very pleased with the show’s opening weekend and the way the difficult play all came together, “The result was actually very spellbinding. I’ve never done a show that has so many props and moving pieces which makes it a difficult play to do technically, but when we put it all together and added the energy of the audience being up on stage the result was a spellbinding performance of this classic thriller,” said Rizzo.

The productions last run will be August 4, 5, 6 at Soldotna High School Auditorium starting at 8:30 p.m. Cost is $10.00 at the door. It is recommended that you arrive early to get your seats. Triumvirate shows often sell out when they are done in the round on the stage because of limited seating. For more information call 283-6109 or visit our website at www.triumviratetheatre.org
