Anthony & Raquel Pisa celebrated the grand opening of ANthony's Transmission on the Kenai Spur Rd. last week.
Anthony Pisa has been working with automotive drive trains for some 17 years and has now decided to use his expertise to open his own family business to be known as Anthony’s Transmission and Drivetrain. “You only live once and I’ve worked with some great family businesses over the years so I decided to start one of my own,” said Anthony at his grand opening barbeque last week. Anthony’s new shop is located at 554 Kenai Spur Highway about 5.5 miles from the “Y” in Soldotna just pass the One Stop Tesoro station heading toward Kenai.
Anthony feels that his specialty business is well tailored for the Kenai Peninsula, “As much towing as Alaskans and visitors do in the summer and winter with their boats, trailers, snow machines, and campers, we can offer customers special service and performance packages that is a great advantage for the customer,” says Anthony. Anthony is assisted in his new business by his wife Raquel and daughters Kendra, 8, and 5-year-old Kelsey, “Except for getting under the transmissions myself just about everything else in the office and telephone service is my part of the business, and of course keeping Anthony happy. This has been a big step in our life and we are very happy, excited and proud to be doing this as a family,” said Raquel.
In addition to complete drivetrain and transmission repairs and tune-ups, Anthony also offers general auto repairs and promises to live up to his business slogan, “We get into our work!” The month of August is a great time to stop by and meet Anthony and Raquel and find out about their grand opening special offer of 20% off transmission service through August 31.
