Chambers set schedules

· The Soldotna Chamber of Commerce will host a debate with candidates for House District 33 at noon Tuesday at Froso’s in Soldotna. For more information, call Michelle at 262-9814.

· The Kenai Chamber of Commerce will host a gubernatorial forum at noon Wednesday at Paradisos in Kenai. Candidate Tony Knowles has been confirmed to speak. For more information, call Janie at 283-7989.

Humpy Creek tour set

The Kachemak Heritage Land Trust will host a fund-raising evening adventure night with biologist Coowe Moss Walker at 5 p.m. Saturday through Humpy Creek. Participants will walk along the mud flats to the stream mouth observing seals, otters and other animals and fish for juvenile salmon for observation. Boots or waders are not provided but will be necessary. The trip costs $60 and reservations must be made by today. To make a reservation, call (907) 235-5263.
