Twins suffer loss at state

The Kenai American Legion Post 20 Twins baseball team was bumped into the losers’ bracket at the state tournament Wednesday with a 10-2 loss to East Anchorage at Mulcahy Stadium in Anchorage.

The Twins will face Service today at 11 a.m. in the double-elimination tournament.

East led 6-2 after six innings, and tacked on four in the seventh inning.

The Twins plated a run in the third when luke Oliver walked, stole second and scored on a single by Kevin Epperheimer. Luke Gilbert scored the Twins’ second run of the game on a solo home run in the fifth.
