Family potluck to be held

Community council to meet

The North Peninsula Community Council will hold its meeting Monday at 7 p.m. at the Nikiski Senior Center. For more information, call Fred Miller at 776-3257.

RC&D to hold monthly meeting

The Kenai Peninsula Resource Conservation and Development District will hold its annual meeting Tuesday at 3 p.m. at its office in Kenai, 110 Trading Bay Road, Suite 160. Chamber to host senate candidate forum

The Kenai Chamber of Commerce will host a "Meet the Candidates for U.S. Senator" forum Wednesday at noon at Paradisos Restaurant. The forum will be moderated by Judge Charles Cranston. United Way planning annual cruise

The Kenai Peninsula United Way will sponsor a Kenai Fjords-Fox Island cruise Sept. 1. The cruise includes an afternoon cruise to Fox Island, entertainment, auction and dinner. Volunteers sought for fund-raiser

The 18th annual KRSM-WRCC Radiothon fund-raiser will take place Sept. 9, and the Women's Resource and Crisis Center is seeking volunteers to serve as remote team members. Remote teams contact local businesses for cash and in-kind donations which support WRCC victim services. For more information, call June at 283-1946.

Tickets available from Kenai chamber

The Kenai Chamber of Commerce is selling tickets for its Hooked on Kenai Wild fund-raiser. There are 50 available. The drawing will be held Oct. 5 at the Hooked on the Kenai Wild Festival. Three ticket holders will win a seven-day Caribbean or Alaska cruise for two, a trip to Hawaii for two or $500 in cash. Tickets are $25 each. For more information, call 283-7989.
