Visitor warns shippers of un-frozen fish

Posted: Wednesday, August 04, 2004

Just a warning to people shipping fish outside this area: I shipped 20 pounds of fish to North Idaho in an insulated box, packed tight with frozen fish packed with lots of layers of newspaper all this inside another cardboard box. It was kept in freezer (they said) at FedEx until shipped. Delivered in less than two days and it was completely thawed. I have hauled fish frozen and packed in a cooler for 3 days and had not even started to thaw. Did my box set in the sun someplace?
