ANCHORAGE (AP) A Palmer man has been charged with attempted murder and assault following incidents over the weekend near the Knik River, Alaska State Troopers said.

Benjamin Wilson, 19, was charged after hitting a motorcycle and a four-wheeler with his pickup truck.

Troopers responded early Sunday morning to a Knik River access road off the old Glenn Highway.

Terrance Weathers, 25, of Eagle River injured his arm after Wilson struck the rear tire of his motorcycle, causing him to fall, troopers said.

Wilson also chased Travis Petitt, 23, of Eagle River on Petitt's four-wheeler, struck the rear of the A-T-V and caused it to roll, troopers said.

The ATV came to rest under the pickup truck.

Weathers suffered injuries to his abdomen. The three men were treated and released from Valley Hospital.

Wilson was being held on $100,000 bail.
