KCHS volleyball begins

Kenai Central High School will hold a volleyball informational meeting for parents and athletes at 6 p.m. today in the KCHS Little Theater. Paperwork and school physicals are required. For more information, call 283-0560.

Kids celebration set

The Boys and Girls Club will celebrate National Kids Day and the end of its soccer season from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at Kenai Middle School. A free barbecue and family activities also are planned. It is open to the public. For more information, call 283-2682.

Skyview volleyball set to go

The Skyview High School volleyball team will begin practice at 4 p.m. Monday at the school’s gym. Athletes are required to have a completed physical, court shoes and run for practice.

Keeper plans appreciation party

Cook Inlet Keeper will host its eighth annual Splash Bash volunteer appreciation at 6 p.m. Thursday at the Bishop’s Beach Pavilion. It is open to all of Cook Inlet Keeper’s volunteers. For more information, call Ingrid Harrald at 235-4068.

Agency appreciation picnic planned

Frontier Community Services will host its second annual agency appreciation picnic from noon to 5 p.m. Aug. 12 at the Kenai Green Strip Park. It is open to families, friends, consumers, staff, guardians and board members of Frontier Community Services.
