RC and D to hold meeting

The Kenai Peninsula Resource Conservation and Development District will hold a meeting today at 3 p.m. at 110 Trading Bay Drive, Suite 160, in Kenai. Topics of discussion will include a progress report on the ongoing livestock slaughterhouse feasibility study. For more information, call 283-7493, ext. 106.

Safari Club to meet

The Safari Club International will meet at 6 p.m. today at the Snowshoe Gun Club. There will be a barbecue, meeting, and they will sight-in firearms. Bring side dishes for the potluck. For more information, call Mike Hamrick at 283-4155.

KCHS class plans reunion

The Kenai Central High School class of 1967 will host a reunion Aug. 17 at 7 p.m. at the Kenai Senior Citizens Center. Students and teachers from the 1960s as well as from Territorial School days are invited to attend. Cost is $10 each. Bring finger food for potluck and something to drink. Blood donations needed

The Blood Bank of Alaska is in need of blood donations. In particular need is O-positive and B-positive. For more information, call the Kenai Peninsula Center at 260-5672.

Host families sought

Cultural Homestay International is in need of host families for exchange students this fall. Each student will have their own spending money, full medical coverage and ongoing support through the organization. For more information, call Maria Bayne at (800) 210-6080.
