ANCHORAGE (AP) A 21-year-old man has been charged with second-degree murder and assault in connection with a fatal crash last year near Wasilla that killed one person and injured several others.

Matthew A. Olson also is charged with driving under the influence, according to court documents filed last week in Superior Court in Palmer.

Olson was driving a 1990 Pontiac loaded with five young passengers when he crashed into a power pole on Fairview Loop Road on Dec. 19, 2002, the court documents state. Arthur Luecken III, 21, a passenger, was killed. Four others Adam Kimball, Carli Petal, Nicholas McDaniel and Philip Leidholm who ranged in age from 16 to 20 at the time, were injured.
