On Sept. 11 and 12 the Bike MS 2010 "From Hope to a Cure Ride", a fundraiser that supports multiple sclerosis research as well as services and programs for local people living with the disease, will be held.

The Board of Directors for the Soldotna Historical Society will meet Aug. 7 at 9 a.m. at the main museum building on Centennial Park Road. The public is invited to attend.

The Boys & Girls Club of the Kenai Peninsula is taking registrations for high school basketball. The season runs from Sept. 13 to Nov. 5.

Peninsula Community Health Services will host Head Back Healthy community health fair from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Aug. 7 at the Soldotna Middle School. Some of the planned activities are games, activities, free lunch, demonstrations, youth performances, give-a-ways, chance to win a bike among others.

The Hospice board of directors is organizing it's third annual disc golf tournament At the Disc Golf course located behind Oiler's Field in Kenai to raise funds for Camp-Mend-A-Heart.
The event will take place Aug. 7.
Ways to contribute include; sponsor ($500) or co-sponsor ($250) a hole; sponsor a team ($500) or a team player ($125); or make a contribution to hospice.
