Parents of Oiler say thanks

Posted: Thursday, August 07, 2003

To the Oilers baseball organization and the people of Kenai and Soldotna:

We are the parents of Jake Postlewait, one of the pitchers for the Oilers during the last two summers. We want to thank the communities of Kenai and Soldotna for their support and hard work in providing a wonderful baseball experience for our son. We loved our visits, the baseball games and meeting some of you.

A special thank you to Tony Deakon, who housed, fed and put up with all the fish mess and moose stories. You helped make the last two summers great for Jake.

You are a wonderful, open and giving community, and we once again thank you for all the hard work.

Fred and Merrie Postlewait
